Coffee that is almost finished

Until 2023, for a long period, I hardly drank coffee every morning.
My drink was green or black tea.
Or a mix of tea with herbs. For example, with sage.
I sometimes drank coffee in a cafe or with friends who make good coffee.
After 2023, things changed a bit. I didn't start drinking less tea. But I often started starting my morning with coffee.
Today... I noticed that the coffee was almost gone. And I have to buy it again. It's a good thing I still have thyme.

I like coffee
And for now — peace,
Thyme smokes in the air,
The day begins.
Coffee will return tomorrow,
The dark water will make noise again.
The steppe in a cup
Will remind me of summer days,
Warm the heart.
The kettle will boil,
Instead of black cream
There will be an infusion of the forest.
Grass from the field
Will save this gray day,
Will give it aroma.
But on the shelf
A dry thyme waits —
An ancient consolation.
Empty dishes
Remind me of the fluidity
Of small joys.
I have to go,
Look for a fresh purchase
For sleepy mornings.
The last grains
Falled into the millstone,
A farewell sound.
This morning
I looked into the tin can —
I saw the bottom.
But from now on
The first sip of a new day is
Bitter and dark.
Tea is not forgotten,
It also waits in the evening
For its time.
Black grains
Now reveal to me
The light of dawn.
The morning remained the same,
But the smell in the kitchen
Became completely different.
Year twenty-three
Turned over an old page,
Changed habits.
Strangers' palms
Grumbled over white foam,
Creating magic.
Coffee was only a holiday,
A conversation in cafes
Among acquaintances.
Or sage
Added a bitter dance
To the usual infusion.
A black dry leaf
Slowly stirred in boiling water,
Given peace.
Once upon a time, every morning
A hot cup of
Green leaves steamed.
