And It Was All Retro!

I'm honestly carried away by all the overwhelming response that I received on my previous post and as promised, I'm going to be sharing the pictures from my retro shoot today Yikess! Retro looks have always made me happy as Larry. Be it traditional retro or western. I'm an absolute admirer of anything that is retro. To add to that, I sometimes feel like a 60 y/o in the body of a 24. Quite literally, with all the joint pains and what not 🥲

I was on my toe when this was selected as one of the themes for the shoot. Could I be any more excited ? (I Hope You Got That Reference 😂) As happy as I was about this theme, choosing the right outfit for this look was real pain 💔 After 3728494 attempts at mixing and matching the outfits, I was finally ready with it. Now, the BTS of the shoot is worth mentioning. As the weather was cloudy from the past two days, we could not bank on getting this shoot done outdoor. Hence, we had to be prepared with a plan B, which was to have a retro set up indoor. So Swathi and I decided to arrange for a few paper props, candies, picnic baskets, confetti etc. That was A LOT of work for one day before the shoot. So I decided to stay over at her place as the shoot was anyway planned at her house.

On the day of the shoot, we began with Swathis makeover followed by mine. And if I may speak for everyone present there, we were all smiles, swooning over her final look. She absolutely nailed the look. Soon they began to shoot her and make the most of the golden hour as we were already running out of time and losing the natural light. We then continued the shoot with my look and ended the day with some fun shots of the two of us.

If anything, I'm lucky to have had the opportunity of working with them. They were so patient with us throughout the day. Right from the make-up artists to the photographers, it all fell in right place. It's my pleasure to have known them and now have them as my friends and well-wishers.💗✨
