Hackers mined cryptocurrency in the Amazon cloud

Group of people managed to use the resources of companies Aviva and Gemalto in the Amazon Cloud for mining cryptocurrency. This writes Bitcoinist citing a report specializing in matters of security of the company RedLock. According to the publication, the opportunity pamineti hackers was due to the fact that the administrative console Kubernetes was not password protected. It is also noted that the hackers used the access to confidential information of the companies, and only used for mining cryptocurrency.
