What is a 51% attack?
As some of you know, Etherium Classic(ETC) got hacked with an 51 % attack. But what that really means will be shown in this article.
How a 51% attack works
A 51 % attack is when more than 50 % of miners take over the Hashrate of a cryptocurrency. This is a very big issue in Blockchain technology because people who are performing a 51% attack are able to: -Double spend coins. -Have a mining monopol so that they get most of the minerrewards.
There is also a website in which you can see the theoratical coast of a 51% attack for one hour.
