Hollywood sign

Hollywood sign was established in 1923, but not as a symbol of global factory of dreams. It was just a listing of new residential neighborhoods of Los Angeles, and the inscription was longer: HOLLYWOODLAND. It was assumed that the sign will stand for approximately one and a half years, however, thanks to the rapid development of the film industry in Hollywood, he decided to leave.

Good to know about this HOLLYWOOD sign. Some things do lose their original meaning and purpose just to gain a better alternative.
