Easter Poem

I'm setting on the couch after a weekend of rushing
Spending
Not sleeping
Giving
And I'm so content with the idea of relaxing
Resting
Reminiscing

And I'm happy
Grateful
Excited
And honestly proud of myself
Because I used to have to search for a dose of self medicine before attending a family function
And now I'm part of the planning committee
My elders now get to see me grow into the father I dream to be.
And that's beautiful to me

As stressful as life can be.
I'll always be happy to see
The strong people who compliment me.
Simple essential joys of being a part of this family
