Golems for magick

Recently Ive been thinking of creating a golem to expand my magical arsenal. I understand that we would be connected and that it could help me in my spell work and rituals.

But before I do it I want to know if any of you have magical golems and if there is any unexpected consequences from creating one. I love to hear your responses!!!
