1970 VW Engine Temp Readings

I try to figure out why the vehicle on acceleration.

My heat risers were not drilled out from aftermarket exhaust causing the carb to get cold and sweaty.

Drilled out holes. It seemed to help but carb is still cold and sweaty (60* F)
