The Volvo debt

Got reminded about this a few days ago. Still funny.. Since it's North Korea.

Several countries has arrears to Sweden, but North Korea is at its own level. During the 70's the dictatorship bought 1 000 Volvo cars of the model 144 (amongst other stuff). Even though Sweden kept on sending prompts to North Korea every sixth month for the past 48 years they never even bothered to reply, but these Volvo's is still on the roads of Pyongyang serving an unknown amount of people with transport every day in the form of taxis.

Today North Korea's debt to Sweden amounts to 2,7 billion Swedish kronor, which is around $302 millon. A fair amount of money, but this just proves that the Kim-Jong's do what the fuck they want, I guess.
