Distracciones

Por momentos me distraigo,
miro para un lado y para el otro.
Pierdo la vista de mi norte, y también pierdo tiempo.
Me arrepiento, me regaño, y sigo sin andar mi camino
Entonces me detengo, me doy cuenta de lo que estoy haciendo.
Luego pienso ¡tan humana!
Y regreso, amablemente, sigo caminando hacia donde ya yo sé que voy.

Sometimes I get distracted,
I look this way and that.
I lose sight of my direction, and I waste time, too.
I regret it, I scold myself, and I still don’t follow my path.
Then I stop, and I realize what I’m doing.
Then I think, “How human!”
And I turn back, gently, and keep walking toward where I already know I’m going.
