HOW TO OVERCOME THE CARNAL LIFE : Admit that carnality is a sin. So many many carnal Christians excuse away this sin by claiming that is their nature 1corinthians 11:31 , 1Corinthians 5:1-2 agree that living in obedience to the spirit of God is possible. To live by the by spirit is not a theory but practicable romans 7:8 bear the Fruit of the spirit. This is the only outward proof of spirituality. Live a spiritled life- Galatians 5:22-23 have divine insight into all things.
REWARD FOR OVERCOMERS : God did nt ask his children to serve him in vain.There are many rewards from God for those who overcome.These include
.crown of righteousness- 2Timothy 4:8
.Grace to reign with him-2Timothy 2:12
.Crown of life- james 1:12
.Rest from all labours- Revelations 4:13
Easier for him to yeild to flesh than the voice of holy spirit his life becomes saturated with the works of the flesh
SOME CARNAL CHRISTIANS HAVE SPIRITUAL GIFTS TOO : The carnal Christian may possess the gift of the holy spirit even though he does not allow himself to be ruled by the holy spirit. He is carnal in the use of the same gift. The carnal Christians in Corinth had a number of the gift of the spirit and they even quarreled in the use of these gifts. The gifts of utterances life tongues, prophecy, and word of knowledge were common among them but the manifestation of the fruit of the spirit was lacking
CONCLUSION
The danger of his lifestyle is death sometimes. It is a physical death before time, Romans 8:6-7, 1Corinthians 5:5, 1Corinthians 11:27-32
