Versace is a very prominent clothing line today, but lets take a good look about how it all started

Gianna Versace was born on the 2 of December 1946. he was first introduced to fashion by his mother who was a tailor at the time. He then moved to Milan in 1972 (aged 26) to do a freelance for various Italian label before he was able to launch his own female collection in September 1978. He was a huge success making about 800million in his first 10 years, he was also able to make clothes for pop stars like Madonna. He also won the Maschera D’Argento prize in 1987, he also won the fashion Oscar award in 1993.

Versace was allegedly shot dead on the 15 July 1997 on his way back home during his morning walk, the prime suspect was also found dead in a boat house on the Miami beach 8 days later. In his will he placed D'Amico on a monthly pension of about $26,000, but as a result of Versace's family he was only able to get a little of it.
In September Versace's brothers Santo and Jorge Saud became the CEOs of the company while his sister was made the overall Head.
