Redraws When the Day Breaks

Hoy he querido compartir con ustedes un cortometraje animado creado y dirigido por Amanda Forbis y Wndy Tilby en 1999.

El cortometraje ilustra las conexiones de la vida con la fragilidad de los habitantes de una ciudad en la cual la cerdita Ruby intenta integrarse, como lo describe la sinopsis del corto:

“En este corto de animación, la cerdita Ruby busca afirmación en la ciudad que la rodea tras presenciar la muerte accidental de un desconocido... y la encuentra en lugares sorprendentes. Con un humor hábil y un detalle finamente representado, When the Day Breaks ilumina los vínculos que conectan nuestras vidas urbanas, al tiempo que evoca la promesa y la fragilidad de un nuevo día...”.

Apreciar esta bella e interesante técnica de animación me ha inspirado a realizar un Redraws, el cual les presento a continuación:

Today I wanted to share with you an animated short film created and directed by Amanda Forbis and Wndy Tilby in 1999.

The short film illustrates the connections of life with the fragility of the inhabitants of a city in which Ruby the piglet tries to integrate, as described in the synopsis of the short film:

"In this animated short, Ruby the pig seeks affirmation in the city around her after witnessing the accidental death of a stranger… and finds it in surprising places. With deft humour and finely rendered detail, When the Day Breaks illuminates the links that connect our urban lives, while evoking the promise and fragility of a new day..."

Appreciating this beautiful and interesting animation technique has inspired me to make a Redraws, which I present to you below:
