Gucci Mane La Flare is the best rapper because he has pushed rap to where it is today. Introducing more artists, influenced by his long history of rapping, than any other rapper.
The best part about Gucci’s freestyles is that they show a window into the rappers personality and lifestyle. His un polished flow brings a sense of authenticity that is followed up by creative improvisation that really pull together the tracks into masterpieces.
For example this freestyle of early, he is doing a freestyle for Hood Affairs TV, and there is about a minute and a half of total Gucci personality. Then when he starts to go in, off the top, he does such a good sounding introduction. His repetitiveness starting at 212 is something he still to this day is a fan of. He does not try to fill up the bars with words, instead he takes his time. He is not incredibly lyrical, or rap fast, but the cadence and feel of the words is so pleasurable to the ear. At one point he doesnt even rhyme 2:20 non rhyme at 2:28 but it just sounds so good, and then follows it up by changing his flow. This inconsistency was something very new to rap at the time, and created a lot of experimentation within one song which made a verse more interesting to listen to.
In this wonderful freestyle Gucci goes in talking about his setting, and on to the people around him. And most hilariously at 1:35 he finishes but then continues on to not rhyme at all but( perhaps trying to rhyme deal and tell) but it really just emphasizes “pussy”. So funny

This is a video of Gucci Mane in the process of making a freestyle song. The quality at first seems so poor because of how slow he goes and his lack of enunciating his words but at the end of the video you can just hear how hard it goes.

The constant output of music is what has made him such an influential rapper; mainly because he always has free mixtapes so no one ever has to buy his music. Now that he is out of jail he is collaborating with so many rappers putting himself at the top of modern rap. His most popular song now is a collab between the Gucci influenced rap group Migos; song is called I Get the Bag.
