Building the first digital life form – Open Source WORM

OpenWorm aims to build the first comprehensive computational model of the live small worm, named Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans). It solves basic problems such as feeding and moving with only a thousand cells and only 302 neurons.

OpenWorm incorporates the data available in the scientific community into software models for simulation of worm’s behaviour.
