… anything where you are supporting our Steem blockchain through something other than an upvote buying service. That will almost certainly draw a lot of downvotes. Which, at a minimum will reduce its value, if not rendering it useless …

Yes, understood @contrabourdon. I obviously have both utilized this in the past and view it slightly differently, given the help many of our Steem blockchain’s “little people” have received from it, through the gifts of others.

Personally, I have been steadily “skipping” receipt (requires the manual insert of the code shown below) of an SBI upvote myself, except for my unfortunate miss on the comment above …

Haha. Yes you got a good upvote for that comment. It was ok though 😉 @qurator also has a subscription service similar to this, albeit for whitelisted members. Given the current voting power of @steembeem, the upvotes would only bring it to the dust threshold anyway.

Keep piling up the insults. It's the reason I don't keep all the Steem on here anymore. I started doing that when newsteem started and people became agressive here.

You were referring to how much steem I have. To contrast, I was referring to you dumping it from your wallet in ridiculously small increments. If you want to take that as a pile of insults, that's your business.

No doubt I am biased, but I do view SBI as a lot more than a bidbot service, e.g. booster. For one thing, the principal is a long way from profiting from his program, unlike the owners of the typical bidbot service ...

believe me these guys will see this a lot different like you, they will soon start downvoting your subscribers because they mean (like many more) that this is some sort of abuse of the communities reward pool.
There are some honest ones,and there are a lot more ones which are acting doubleface because the provide such services stated before for a long time with huge success and now they are stating that this is something bad even if they bring up their accounts with that methods which is now totally forbidden.
But never heard some good excuse from one of these guys for the past gains with this manner, did one believe the will give the gained assets back? No way, and today they will play judging all the others for abusing the reward pool, this is so silly.
Think about your idea again maybee you want the right thing but not use the right tool ;)

There is nothing wrong about promoting / boosting a nice content post! whatever it is.
We will start doing a counter downvote pool for the abusing non sense downvoters
At the end equilibrium will find itself

I personally don't and won't support this as it will encourage more spam and low quality content in the community, you better think of a better service with manual curation and upvote to content that deserves support especially for minnows and new comers to the Steemit community

The reputation should be somehow correlated with the post upvotes
Everyone should be able to request freely a boost promotion
But the after effect curation should be somehow linked to his reputation / ranking
