These days people are more focussed to opt for hogher education. Getting a good degree is the backbone for a stronger career. Higher education builds a strong path for personal growth, career success, and community progress. There are phases when people seek a good college and intitution to pursue their education. There are various alternative available to a student, either they opt for online mode of studies or offline. It is purely on their choices. My kid opted for an offline course. I felt good with her choices as she is not one of them who prefer home comfort and like to take on the new challenges of their own.

There comes a phase, when a person needs to consider what is good for their child. Those are the situation when they have to taje some decision When my kid opted a college situated in hills, I was bit surprised. Tthere were far mlre better alternative available in big cities. But her choice was to pursue studies in good atmosphere. When it comes to choosing a better college, many candidate either opt for an expensive college or to attend in metropolitan cities to enjoy their life. In my kid case, there were many option available and she easily qualified for each of the reputed college. There were many college in urban cities like of Bangalore or Mumbai or Delhi. But she preferred a reputed college based out in hills. She wanted to live a peaceful life outside the hassle of citiew and concentrate on building her career.

Where thoughts turn into plans

Choosing a peaceful place for studies is better than living in urban areas because quiet surroundings reduce mental fatigue and improve concentration. Quiet areas lack loud traffic, sirens, and construction noise. A quiet night helps the brain rest and process new information. Silence in hills are much better than cities which allows our mind to focus on difficult subjects without interruption. Peaceful places often feature green trees and open spaces. Fresh air and quiet walks help calm an overwhelmed mind.

I have been in urban areas since over 2 decades and know how the everything evolved. Espcially in the field of education. Urban areas face growing challenges that make them less ideal for higher education compared to the past. And above that, Urban areas have high levels of daily chaos that raise anxiety. There are many things, like, clubs, malls, theatre , traffic that causes distraction. Fast paced city life and traffic create daily anxiety. Poor air quality and lack of green space negatively affect physical and mental health. The modenisatiom has affected the social life in urban areas. Once you are surrounded by chaotic atmosphere it will be difficult to concentrate on studies.

I rememeber, many people look out for colleges in cities which are hub for the subject, so that one could start a career sooner. Few year ago, my nephew went to Punjab for pursuing a course in IT, but he faced backlashes from his elders. Everyone wanted him to join college in Southern India, which is considered to be IT hub. But without showing any concern, he carried on with his studies and manage to secure a high paying job this year. So the hub myth is not going to work for everybody. I am quite impressed with my daughter choice of college, as she opted a smaller town in hill areas. She might have considered all the factors before opting for the college. Better college in smaller towns offer better focus, cheaper living, and strong academic communities. There were more respect for women than in big cities. Plus there is advantage of clean air for living. After visiting the place and taking a round of the university, I did not see any fault. It is one of the ranked college in my country. The college is 15km away from main city. So there was not much chaos. Also life in hills is much slower paced than in cities.
