WISDOM FOR LIVING - A STORY

There is a story that was told of an Elephant and a dog. We all know the two are no match in size, strength and valued, yet, the dog kept bragging on her quick successes, yet, the Elephant so believed in her dreams. Do have a great read.

An elephant and a dog became pregnant at the same time. Three months down the line the dog gave birth to six puppies. Six months later the dog was pregnant again, and nine months on, it gave birth to another dozen puppies. The pattern continued

Though we find ourselves in the same class and environment with others does not mean we are going the same way. We are different people wired in different ways to fulfil unique purposes.

On the eighteenth month the dog approached the elephant questioning, "Are you sure that you are pregnant? We became pregnant on the same date, I have given birth three times to a dozen puppies and they are now grown to become big dogs, yet you are still pregnant. Whats going on?"

Many times, those we give our ear-time are there to talk down our values and belief. They want you to see yourself less than you are and its a risky deal. Be careful!

The elephant replied, "There is something I want you to understand. What I am carrying is not a puppy but an elephant. I only give birth to one in two years. When my baby hits the ground, the earth feels it. When my baby crosses the road, human beings stop and watch in admiration, what I carry draws attention. So what I'm carrying is mighty and great."

It takes great faith and believe to see one's value in the midst of mockery. You need to grow such a faith even when your expectations are not yet tangible. Be bold to shut your mockers with the right words. Don't get jerked by their intimating words. Speak faith! Speak life!

Develop the right mentality that what you carry is being processed, prepared and packaged for a greater impact. Believe that the longer wait is for a bigger testimony and outcome. Say to yourself "My time is coming, and when it hits the surface of the earth, people shall yield in admiration.

Don't you ever lose faith when you see others reach their target. Life is not a competition. Don't get envious of others. Don't despair. Your time is coming when you too will have what to show off.
