Happy Hive Power Up Day
Greetings, everyone!
Yesterday was Hive Power Up Day, a celebration of showing up for our communities and committing part of our liquidity to the long term.
My first reaction when looking at the current state of Hive was rather negative. But then I reminded myself why we are here. It is not just about earning a few extra cents or dollars. We are here because of an idea: the belief that an open-source community can build and operate a social network without hidden interests and without a centralized entity controlling everything behind the scenes.
With that in mind, I did a small power-up, and I updated my objectives for the rest of the year.

It's a small powerup, but it does add up. Who knows where Hive will go, but I think we did what we could. I love it because of what Hive could have been, and I guess that could still come around if things change.
