Cats alone in the apartment?

I ask myself the question whether one should keep a cat alone or rather with her fellow cat. Clearly, this decision depends on the type of husbandry and the breed of the cat. Is it rather a house cat or an outdoor cat?

Cats are usually social animals. This does not mean, however, that they have to live together with other species. If I owned a house or dwelling cat, the keeping of two or three cats would be the most appropriate. If cats are locked up in an apartment and kept alone, this can lead to a faulty development and cause psychological damage to the cat. If such cats come into contact with other cats at a later point in time, this can lead to enormous stress and overstrain. It is therefore advisable that cats should be kept in pairs. If you live in the country, the keeping of only one cat is unproblematic. Because it is usually often in the open nature and so usually comes into contact with other animals/cats.
