Morning Run: Dam good

@steevc just finished a 6.7km run, that lasted for 40 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 459.0 calories.
Description from Strava:
I will be pace running at parkrun this weekend, so wanted to practice that pace today. I will be aiming at 30 minutes for the 5km, so a pace of 6min/km. I set this up on my watch so that I get feedback on whether I am on schedule. I think I did fairly well, but was a little quick at times. This route has more up and down than the parkrun course so that should be more consistent.
The work in Etonbury Woods has progressed and there now these 'leaky dams' on the river that are intended to reduce the chance of flooding. That does not seem likely at the moment with the lack of rain, but if we get a heavy shower is will run off the dry ground into the river and it could soon rise. We may get another shower today.
I have felt a bit tired this week, but the run went well. I was at the pub jam session last night and had a couple of beers that can mess me up a bit. I cannot drink like I did in my younger days.
There has been a call for more volunteers on Saturday. With the increased numbers they need more for things like scanning barcodes. As a pace runner I get a volunteer count as well as a running one. It really just needs more people do volunteer once a month or so. I have clocked up 65 volunteer sessions and 174 runs so far.

It's easy to get too obsessed with the stats. I saw one parkrun is taking a break as they are getting so many tourists and some are being obnoxious as they try to get a PB. It's not on to shout at slower runners to get out of the way.

You should be happy they are being proactive on the dams. Ask the town next to where I live what happens when they aren't and a 100 year storm rolls through...
I think flooding risk may increase due to all the new houses being built around here. That reduces what the land can soak up. We are on slightly higher ground so may be safe for now.
I saw some footage of Edinburgh where they had torrents running down some streets this week. We've not had such heavy rain here.

Hello everyone I hope you are all good and well today in this post is some of the evidence to prove my case
If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone
I've been labelled a lot of things on Hive π by the biggest farmers scammers and downvoters
Actions speak louder than any words do especially when them words are coming from a compolsive liars
I will keep updating this post when I get time

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone

Hello everyone I hope you are all good and well today in this post is some of the evidence to prove my case
If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone

Hello everyone I hope you are all good and well today in this post is some of the evidence to prove my case
If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone

Hello everyone I hope you are all good and well today in this post is some of the evidence to prove my case
If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone
I've been labelled a lot of things on Hive π by the biggest farmers scammers and downvoters
