DMUNITY & Peepeth Are Coming For Steemit Users

Peepeth is currently in the middle of a crowdfund to raise funds for their 'decentralized Twitter' type of social media dapp that runs on the Ethereum blockchain. Unfortunately, it's running onchain right now which means you must pay ether to post. I think it definitely has potential if it uses Plasma offchain scaling solutions.

Another competitor just released their Beta today; DMUNITY. Right now their tokens are rewarded offchain in order to provide optimal user experience. When they do launch out of Beta in early 2019 they plan on releasing on Plasma which should be a lot more scalable for this type of app.

DMUNITY has an interesting plan to spread tokens using a Reddit Airdrop. You get more tokens based on how many Reddit Karma points you have.
