Should I bring friends onto Steemit

Steemit has been the best place on the internet to explain about the blockchain through use; no one I meet understands how blockchains could change our lives until I introduce them to Steemit. But now that Ned has shown that he is a huge a-hole, should we continue to support him via support for Steemit?? Why does Ned have to be such a jerk? Feeling sad about this.
