ALONE

I was fine being alone,
Then you came in my life
And you promised me
To stand always by my side.

With you I felt so blessed
And no more incomplete
Life became so colorful
That I couldn't believe.

You showed me how to smile
And helped me forget my scars
My wounded soul had healed
Blossomed my dry heart .

It was like a fairy tale
But you proved to be a liar.
You ended it abruptly
Making my world go haywire .

Now, you are not with me
But I'll learn again to smile
I felt complete with you
That was just for a while.

I'll forget your promises
That had fakeness intense
I'd listen to your lies
And laugh at your pretence.
