Princess in the Shadows

She never asked for much, she only longed for attention. Her mother, the Queen, however, kept her out of the public eye. They knew of her, of course, but she was the equivalent to an accessory over a human being. The exact circumstances of this situation are unknown, but most do not care. But she didn't mind, she was used to living alone, forgotten. She wore dark clothes so she would blend in with the scenery and her raven black hair unfortunately helped. She would only speak when directly spoken to and even then would give short, whispered answers She rarely attended public, and most private events. She has become complacent and is acceptable of her position. But, she still longs for the day when she can have her day in the sun, and to stop living in the shadows.
