Weekend getaway

This weekend I went to plantation 'De vier kinderen'. The plantation 'De vier kinderen' is located in a quiet and wooded environment, located on the Coropina creek. This plantation is one of the oldest during the colonial times of Suriname. In 1752 The plantation 'De vier kinderen' was a small sugar plantation with 80 slaves. And now the place has been transformed into a recreation resort. The property is available for both day visits and overnight stays. There's a private beach by the water with so called 'black water'. Suitable for swimming, canoeing and fishing. The area is great for a stroll or bike ride. I really enjoyed my stay it was quiet and relaxing. It was also quite an adventure because it was my first time sleeping outdoors in a hammock. "To travel is to live "
