Snowshoe - Sledge Adventure!

Last weekend a group of friends and I went to the Bavarian Alps for an epic winter hiking adventure!

We brought snowshoes and sledges and started our hike up to the "Priener Hütte", a classic alpine hut and a popular spot for ski mountaineering and sledging...

After a cloudy start, the sun came out for our lunch break...the white sausages we cooked, together with sweet mustard, pretzels really did fit the gorgeous sunny mountain view!

The sunset from the mountain hut where we stayed the night was pretty good as well :)

In the night some of us attacked the summit of Geigelstein, using our snowshoes and headlamps. It got really foggy, so the steep ascent over the deep frozen snow did feel quite adventurous!

The next day, sledging down from the hut was a lot of fun, too :D

Spending time outside, in nature, with some of the best friends imaginable, there is really not a lot that can top that!
