STEEMIT Decline Payout ? ? ?

On steemit many times, you come across a post whose payout appears to be declined. The amount corresponding to upvotes will still be shown in payouts but with a strike.

Many of us may think that may steemit decline the payouts for violating some terms and conditions. But the real reason is not that, I know you will get surprised when you know that it is the author of the blog who chooses to not get paid.

So, the next question arises why an author does not want the payout?

They choose such options for you. Yes, you read correctly, Many Steemit official accounts and witnesses often use such option to keep the reward pool for their users and do not make a profit out of it.
