Beautiful Turkey

A few years ago I visited Turkey with my a few of my family members.

We traveled across the entire country. It was an amazing trip. I fell in love with the people.

It was such a change from the US. I remember one time we were driving around and saw a guy working in his olive grove. We rolled the window down and said hi, he immediately asked us over for tea and we ended up having a 2 hour discussion about life and God. I was amazed that something like this could happen. You roll down the window and say hi to someone in the US and they will think you are crazy. I hate that war has torn this beautiful country apart.

I look at the people in these pictures and I wonder where they are, if they are alive, if they are doing well. It's sad to think that if I went back to that same area I probably wouldn't recognize it.

We even got to visit a place that looked like it came out of a Star Wars movie!
