Monarch butterfly cocoon

The Monarch butterfly is from the Nymphalidae family and is known as a milkweed butterfly, it is also considered an iconic pollinator species which is important for our plants. There are four stages in its life cycle, the egg, the larvae (caterpillar), the pupa (chrysalis) and the butterfly.
I was out taking photos when I came across some plants with the Monarch caterpillar feeding.
