Will Steem ever break $0.50 again?
During the market from July 2016 to March 2017 steem lost 98.8% of it's value. In 9 months steem went from a 0.07.
The bear market from January 2018 to December 2018 lasted 11 months and steem lost about 98% of it's value (assuming 0.20 the bear market has lasted over 18 months.
I would consider accumulating under $0.10, but steemit would surely be bankrupt by then. So who knows.
What do you think the price is going to do?

it will now come down to what happen on the next hardfork .
Personally i dont think the 50/50 curation will solve the problem.
Too bad my SP is not big enough to make my suggestion get notice.
I believe we should learn from youtube on how they pay.
we can still do the 50/50 curation , but now content creator will get a share of the ads profit if the post generate view.
I myself is a youtuber that cover malaysia numismatic history.
Take this video for example . it continue to generate money since 2017 . When post the same video at Dtube , i only get around 1 to 2 USD.
youtube is not perfect but at least it make everyone who watch its content pay . Here at steemit , it is like working for free and get nothing in return.
