It is always a pleasure to read such a good initiative for business enrolment in the Hive Ecosystem.

I've been with this project for a while, but this is the most comprehensive and complete value proposition of SpendHBD project. The points presented and supported with proof shows what is possible if the Hive community shows more love for this awesome innovation.
The benefits are huge from creating a circular economy where HBD is mostly bought and spent across the ecosystem, micro-funding for genuine small businesses, bringing outside investment when businesses buy and stake Hive, onboarding new people to crypto without saying it's crypto, the network effect where thousands of shoppers, perhaps millions start spending HBD, it's just endless the huge potential this project brings.
Anyone with an open mind and genuine interest for the growth of Hive will never fault this project, regardless of any obvious lapses or setbacks inherent in experimental projects like this.
I am fired to do more and have just found in this video additional motivation to push harder and get more done!!!!!
Now that I dug more into HBD and how it works, I also understand the value of HBD adoption, so I get to appreciate initiatives to increase adoption for HBD. Nice!

It answers many questions I have had, though I am still unsure how it is going to scale, but I am sure you guys are thinking ahead on it. My biggest concern prior was that this was just another project with good intentions getting leeched.
Going back years we (old timers) have talked about ways to use HBD more effectively, and this might be a good step in that direction, at least as an experiment and an awareness that it is possible.
I am interested in the proximity pay card thing too, as I reckon the might be a good way for the businesses to offer "loyalty programs" to customers, where for instance, the kickback is 5% if they spend above x, 10% if they spend y, and 15% for z amount in a month at the same store, or group of stores. This could also encourage the formation of local co-ops that prefer to trade in HBD. And, it could be accompanied with an app for the consumer that tracks all their purchase records and account info, similar to what the supermarket chains do.
As Dan said about grassroots, I get that this is going to also be a little trial and error. At the moment, the majority of transactions seem to be spread among developing nations - does it scale with bigger spends?
Gives me some things to think about on this and I will talk to some of the others I know with questions also, and link them the video. I will also recommend not to DV the SpendHBD posts, but as you know, each user does as they do with their stake.
What I think would help the cause a bit is if the "review" was more of an actual review, at least sometimes. I think I saw Starkerz using @worldmappin, so perhaps they could add a filter view for their map to find businesses that take HBD in a given area, and connect the business to the reviews of the store.

Well explained, everyone who listens will understand it clearly, People still swap Hive for USDt and sell and nobody makes noise. And here is a project helping us to spend our earnings directly, the biggest opportunity to spend crypto directly on daily purchases without any government or third-party interference, no single gas fee or bank charges, #spendhbd best project ever, and am happy to tell more people about it.
The SpendHBD project is a laudable project. Sincerely speaking, if a lot of people happen to understand how this works and the innumerable benefits inherent in it, they'll lobby to get their businesses listed in the Distriator.

The info is out there. I appreciate u not downvoting first before u got an explanation, however, a more inquisitive approach would have been far more appreciated without you mentioning downvotes in your post. It’s noted.
Maybe next time u come across a valuable initiative that has done things like onboarded hundreds of users, boosted the HBD economy to zero to hundreds of dollars per day and onboarded hundreds of real businesses u can just pop in their discords, respond to DMs on discord, not mention downvotes, ask questions, and then see what the consensus is first and figure out what’s going on. And then look at downvoting as a last resort.
IMO there is more than enough info out there about this, it does account for at least 40% of HBD transactions after all, so it’s not like it’s not know. Then you obviously got some very good responses from some prominent hiveans on your blog that was talking about down voting, so u can see that it’s not as straight cut and simple as u were initially thinking.
Once again I urge u to log into distriator.com and actually look at it. There is plenty of info there and live reports about how it is growing and its daily usage and throughout.
Additionally, there is a map there. The map is shown in the video above and on the site. Why are u asking for there to be a map when one already exists and it was shown To u in the video.

Hive took in 97 usd to pay out 2.7 usd. And ur considering the idea that these posts are less valuable than normal blogs. Can u show me a normal blog where someone had to pay in and buy HBD before they posted? As far as I’m aware, most normal blogs don’t pay into the system at all and they just generally cash out and bring almost zero eyes to chain. So I would argue that the consideration for downvotes should be redirected to more of the extractive normal blogs, Not the ones where the user has to pay into the system before they post.

Are there independent shops or businesses you visit regularly ? Do you have a few friends who also go to the same places ? If you can get your friends to sign up to Hive, and can persuade one or two of those businesses to sign up for #SpendHBD, then you can be the start of it in your local area. Have a look at what @beauty197 has done, and the way she's done it.
I'm not going to kid you, it's a lot of hard work, but if you are the one who gets it all moving and keeps others motivated then not only can you get the cashback on your own shopping, you'll earn a small commission on every business you onboard and every transaction when people shop.

I honestly think his post brought more good attention to the project than bad ones, people asking questions without going so far as to downvote before asking is good. It's not like we can censor stuff here where his intentions were to paint it in a bad light, and you literally upvoted the positive comments on his post to the top so not sure why you'd prefer people to ask privately before driving attention to your projects - i think it's good to show outsiders why things on hive work well since things are so transparent.
I’m tired of ppl talking about downvoting legit projects and people before either properly clarifying privately or doing proper research.
The positive comments were very very well researched and at least three of them constituted complete blogs by themselves. Upvotes were very low considering the effort put in
xd it was one post in like 2 years, try downvoting a bit more and see how people start taking apart every little action you do.
Because of this. All those posts aren't actually reviews. Perhaps having actual reviews on worldmappin would generate some business, or encourage people to spend HBD when they travel to new places, based on travel posts.

Trust me, people trying to do legit things on this chain have to tip toe around known downvoters A LOT more than once in two years. It’s a huge issue on hive. Of u don’t think it’s an issue, ur account clearly isn’t affected, but this down voting and forcing of legit people off of this chain is a serious problem on hive.

Okay but I mean "good downvotes", like lowering rewards on posts you mentioned are overrewarded but clearly no one is consuming/not bringing/holding any value on hive. If we wanna normalize that and move away from the current stigma and endless drama/debates/hate/grudges/retaliation/threats/etc we gotta do it more and make people understand that's how the platform is supposed to work while also holding bad downvoters accountable and counter bad downvotes, downvotes placing posts to 0, etc, not tell people not to even mention downvotes like it's voldemort.

Like you said it's hard work, personally even before spendhbd project I always love telling people about Hive and I have onboarded people before the project, so with this #spendhbd project I added an extra push to convince businesses and shoppers, but anyone who really wants to can do it.

I've listened to the first 20 minutes so far and my observations are thus;
Dan is an excellent speaker and obviously genuine advocate for Hive and particularly HBD. I agree with what he says, we all know the advantages of our blockchain. Superfast, normal account names and fee-less and leveraging this should be a no brainer.
There are two fundamental issues, though.
Why isn't the initial focus and investment in getting HBD listed on more exchanges. Why isn't it listed already? Why does it not get the love from the exchanges?
It's basically being pegged at a dollar by one bloke and a DHF proposal. This is not exactly stable and something that any serious investor is going to throw money into. It's a huge red flag.
Im also interested to know why it was decided to set up a whole new ecosystem rather than getting the ball rolling by jumping onto the coattails of one of the currently existing payment cards that can be loaded with crypto.

None of the other payment cards are decentralized and permissionless. Hivedebit cards are totally permissionless. U can create them urself and out ur own logo on them. Totally decentralized. Only Hive can do that
