Could blockchain save the Amazon?

The following video shows how blockchain can save the Amazon rainforest, by tracking products that are taken from there. Right now the countries itself, don´t see the profits that global businesses are making out of the Amazon rainforest. Think about the pharmaceutical industry that mainly uses resources coming from the Amazon rainforest.

The Nagoya protocol involved over a 100 countries that stated that the area where the biological products are taken from, should receive a fare part of the profit. Practically this was hard to sustain since it is hard to track the origins of these products. Blockchain is the solution to this!
