Father's Day Celebration

Hello Hivers! I'm sorry I just came back from a hiatus... Since my phone and lappy broke last time, it was hard for me to make a new post. But thankfully, I will be active again this time!

Last Sunday, June 20, we celebrated Father's Day! It's a special day of honouring dads.

We don't have fancy celebration, we only have a simple lunch with the whole family.

Our lunch was made special with two of the popular Filipino foods Pancit and Lumpia . Celebrations for ordinary people will not be complete without these dishes. But wait, this pancit-lumpia combo was made more exciting when it was shaped like a cake!

My toddler started singing "🎶 Happy Birthday to you... 🎶" upon seeing the cake-shaped dish! This made everyone laughed.

Anyway, we also had a cake for real...served for dessert.

My husband was a bit elated since he never expected we will have a simple celebration. We even didn't greet him the whole morning while most of the posts he read on social media were greetings for his friends.

Well it as a surprise for a hardworking dad!
