Authoritarian

Could it be that some authoritarian want an Autocratic State because as children they didn't had a fatherly rolemodel? And now the State occupys that function. Could also be the opposite. Overly dominant Parents leading to children not being able to decide for themselves. If someone knows a study on this. Very much appreciated.
