Mount Arvènis, Italy

Mount Arvènis is a mountain in the Alps 1,968 m high. It is located in the province of Udine in the Carnic Alps. Despite its not particularly high height, it is one of the most famous mountains in Carnia, so much so that during the First World War the Monte Arvènis battalion was created in the 8th Alpine Regiment, decorated with a bronze medal for military valor.
