Last but not least, there's The Peace Bell that was built to commemorate the tragedy of Hiroshima-Nagasaki nuclear bombs in August 1945. The monument was opened on August 9, 1988, to coincide with the 33 years of the terrible tragedy of the nuclear bomb. It is set in The Shakarov's Park in the area of Vasilievsky Ostrova.

The design of The Peace Bell was introduced by representatives from Nagasaki to the Leningrad city officials at the time. Leningrad is another name for the city of St. Petersburg who applies years of 1924-1991. Construction use materials in the form of bronze, nickel and granite under the supervision of an architect named B.A. Izborsky.
