° THE PHONE POEM °

When the darkness comes
And you feel all alone
A little star comes shooting
Straight in to your heart
Right from your... phone?

But what you didn't know though
It would inspire you so!
Knocked-out cold
In the middle of the road
Waking-up there, no one knows
Life sometimes feels like
Quicksand right up to your nose

Yet how can this be
That such a happy feeling
Could come to... me?
I don't deserve it
Even fancy church letterhead
Made sure of it

Yet to your surprise you're shown
Just how God's Love... can come
For me it was with Angelic visitations
One— nine feet tall
The other— thru the... phone.
