Huawei Kirin 980 Processor

IFA 2018, will begin in Berlin at the end of this month. It is expected that the Chinese company will present its latest SoC capability here with the Kirin 980. During this time, the company can also disclose the launch date of Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro. These smartphones can be given a Kirin 980 processor.

Now Huawei is working with TSMC to develop the Kirin 980 processor. Previously Huawei CEO Richard Yu had said that Kirin 980 would be the first chip in which the 7-nm fabrication process would be used. This will be the first 7nm SoC that will be launched in the market.

This way Huawei can get an edge over Qualcomm and Samsung. The USP of this chip is that it works with better energy efficiency. The Kirin 980 octa core will come with the CPU, whose clock speed will be 2.8GHz. There will be four Cortex-A77 cores and four Cortex-A55 core. This time, the HPV can provide offline multimedia to Turbo Technology.
