14 August 2026 @marinnewest's Freewrite Writing Prompt Day 3195 Colourful Language.
This is my post on #freewriters3195 #dailyprompt colourful language hosted by @marinnewest's.
One bright morning, Daniel stood before his classmates to give a speech. He was nervous, but he decided to use colourful language to make his story interesting.
He described the sunrise as a golden blanket spreading across the sky and said the birds sang sweet melodies that danced through the air. His classmates listened carefully, smiling at his creative expressions.
During break time, Daniel saw his friend, Emeka, looking sad. Instead of saying, “Cheer up,” he said, “Let the clouds in your heart disappear and allow sunshine to return.” Emeka smiled immediately.
Their English teacher, Mrs. Grace, praised Daniel for using colourful language. She explained that colourful language makes ordinary words more vivid, expressive, and enjoyable.
From that day, Daniel became more confident in speaking and writing. He learned that with the right words, even a simple story can become a beautiful picture in the reader’s mind.
