Well the key is to be original, write good original content, 4 post is only the max. after that you dont get full rewarded anymore. I am not a writer, so I looked for a something whats for me, i write the daily report with the Steemnumbers, at the moment i just earn cents, because the price of Steem is very low, but that will change soon. I had posts with 100, 200$ once, if the people like your stuff, its all possible :) I did the same like you when i started, some pictures etc. let's say facebook style, but this doesnt work here at all. Be creative, find your own style... what are you good at ?

Here is my daily Report, today 1 Steemdollar is 0,99 U$. And 1 Steem is 0,11 cents.

So if you earn a Steem Dollar here its 1$, but you get only 75% of it, the rest is for the voters.
And from this 75% you get 50% in Steempower and the rest in Steem, so you can only cash out 37,5 cents.... If you have more questions about the Steemit Economy let me know...
