Perfectionism Is Just Procrastination in Disguise

Google

We sometimes think that perfectionism is a good thing. We tell ourselves that not yet having launched the project, not yet written the draft, and not yet having started the business means we care about quality. When we take away the comfortable lies, however, we find out that perfectionism is just a manifestation of fear.

If you’re waiting for the “right time” or the “perfect execution,” you just use that to protect yourself from judgment and potential failures.

When you change your mindset from being perfect to being successful, a lot of things start happening:

Motion Creates Clarity: You can’t improve the idea that is not yet in the real world. You only find out the right direction after you move.

Done Is Better Than Perfect: An imperfect project gets more value in real life than a perfect idea that remains in your head.

Stop waiting for your work to be ready for release. Progressing with the project in a raw manner and improving it along the way results in real growth. Don’t take things too emotionally, publish your work and start moving.
