Bitfinex Tether Enhanced Selloff?

The rapid rise in all the cryptocurrencies needed a healthy pullback but it still doesn't feel great when riding this out with your core holdings. One thing that I did notice today is the difference in volume at the exchanges. Could this sell off be mainly fueled by people exiting Bitfinex because of the association with Tether?
The Bitfinex 24 hr volume is more than twice that of the next most active exchange. The cryptocurrency sell off may be more of a Bitfinex exit than anything else. If true, hopefully that money will not sit on the sidelines very long.
