🇩🇪 Endstand, Gewinner und Preisverteilung

Die Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft ist vorbei und damit endet auch unser erstes internationales Hive World Cup Kicktipp-Spiel.

Als ich die Idee hatte, rechnete ich ehrlich gesagt mit einer kleinen Runde aus ein paar Fußballverrückten auf Hive. Am Ende waren es 46 Teilnehmer aus verschiedenen Ländern und ein Preispool von:

• 1.000 BEER
• 250 MEDALS
• zusätzlich HSBI Shares für aktive Tipper

Vielen Dank an alle, die teilgenommen, kommentiert, Beiträge geteilt oder Preise gesponsert haben.

Ohne euch wäre es nur eine weitere Gruppe von Menschen gewesen, die Fußballergebnisse mit großer Überzeugung falsch vorhersagt. Mit euch wurde daraus ein richtig schönes internationales Hive-Community-Event.

Eine organisatorische Erkenntnis für das nächste Tippspiel

Die vielen Sponsorenzusagen waren großartig und haben diesen hohen Preispool überhaupt erst möglich gemacht.

Die Auszahlung ist allerdings komplizierter geworden als nötig, weil einige Beiträge bei mir liegen, während andere Sponsoren ihre Preise direkt an die Gewinner überweisen.

Beim nächsten Tippspiel mache ich das deshalb einfacher:

Alle Sponsoren zahlen ihre Beiträge vor Beginn in einen gemeinsamen Preispool ein. Dieser wird anschließend von mir oder von einem vorher bestimmten Treuhänder verwaltet und nach dem Finale vollständig verteilt.

Das vermeidet Rückfragen, Erinnerungen und die Suche nach alten Kommentaren. Man lernt als Organisator eben dazu, meistens nachdem man sich selbst ausreichend zusätzliche Arbeit beschert hat.

The Football World Cup is over, and so is our first international Hive World Cup Kicktipp competition.

When I first had the idea, I honestly expected a small group of football fans on Hive. Instead, we ended up with 46 participants from several countries and a prize pool of:

Thank you to everyone who participated, commented, promoted the competition or sponsored prizes.

Without you, this would simply have been another group of people confidently predicting the wrong football results. With your support, it became a real international Hive community event.

One organizational lesson for the next competition

The many sponsor contributions were fantastic and made this large prize pool possible.

However, the final distribution became more complicated than necessary because some contributions were sent to me, while other sponsors will transfer their prizes directly to the winners.

For the next competition, I will organize this more efficiently:

All sponsors will transfer their contributions into one common prize pool before the tournament begins. The pool will then be managed by me or by a previously appointed trustee and distributed completely after the final results.

This will avoid reminders, additional questions and archaeological expeditions through old comment sections. Apparently, organizers learn these lessons after creating enough extra work for themselves.

For this competition:

• I will distribute my own 375 HIVE contribution for the Top 5.
• I will distribute the 300 HIVE already received from @dragon-ti to places 6 through 20.
• I will distribute the 1,000 BEER already received from @detlev to the Top 20.

There is one small peculiarity concerning his prize: before the tournament, @jaki01 personally pledged 200 HIVE for the overall winner.
