Photo: Foggy woods
There is something special about being deep in the forest when the fog turns up out of nowhere like this. I was taking Wilma for a hybrid walk/run while looking for the rare orchid Dactylorhiza sambucina, but unfortunately we didn't find it this time. It is probably a few weeks too early for it to bloom, so I will return later, and hopefully have better vision. As you can propbably imagine, it's not that easy to find plants with all that fog going on.

Well, as nice as this orchid is, the fog generates a fascinating atmosphere in my opinion, so I prefer pics like this one and enjoy them.
I hope you will find your object of desire in future.
There absolutely is something special (eerie, magical, mysterious...) about foggy forests :) I love it.
Least it would have been fun to walk through as long as you don’t get too lost 😆

Yeah, it's really something special. Especially when you hear birds and other animals that you can't see due to the limited visibility!
It would definitely not be any fun to get lost out there! The fog can actually be pretty nasty when it comes to getting lost. I actually lost the trial at one point due to the fog and heavy rain, but luckily found my way back to it within 10 minutes or so.
