Vegas love

Vegas is America's playground. OK, so is Orlando.

Vegas is the America's adult playground. It's entertainment that is geared toward adults and encourages you to live it up. And it's always changing.

Look around the country. There are plenty of websites and blogs dedicated to Orlando travel, but Orlando is a family destination. New York, Chicago and Los Angeles have plenty to offer, and they're not family destinations, but they don't exist primarily for tourism.

New Orleans might be the major city that comes closest to comparing to Las Vegas. It has plenty to offer, and it's not marketed as a family vacation destination, although there's plenty for families to do without exploring the seediness of Bourbon Street.

Bottom line, Vegas still offers an atmosphere that no other major tourist destination does, even with the proliferation of casinos across the country.

Vegas has changed, and will continue to change, but it's unlikely it will ever be usurped in your lifetime as the premiere adult playground of the United States.
