Design systems and products, such as artificial organs, artificial devices that replace body parts, and machines for diagnosing medical problems. Install, adjust, maintain, repair, or provide technical support for biomedical equipment.

Biomedical instrumentation is a sub branch or main branch in biomedical engineering. Mainly focuses on how electronics equipment can measure physiological patient data and improve medical care.
Basically for diagnostic biomedical instrument like ecg and eeg. Background is electrical and electronics.
