# The Relentless March Towards A Better Web 3 Game - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 89 Report Card

Despite the market conditions, the builders continue to create great DAPPs with all new releases. I would be participating in a much bigger way if I had the dry powder for it. My dry powder ended during CubFinance days. I am still HODLing as much as I can and developers continue to ship new items and improvements and keep the game alive.
@splinterlands has been alive for almost 8 years now and I have been with it for all of that time. I joined around the time of Alpha Packs with no playable game. When we first had gameplay, the same Ruleset lasted for 2 days. We as a community has come a very long way with Splinterlands and I am proud to be a part of that journey.

I will be getting more active in Survival Mode since this Season. As for the Wild League, the performance could have been much better. It is very difficult to move further without investing more into the Cards. I have not been able to go all in an Presales during the last few years.

Glint season rewards will show in the season they are claimed.
The Glint earned is primarily focused on Legendary Cards. The price of them have gone up by 2X for the Conclave Arcana Reward Cards. I know the current Cards will be in print for at least few months. My aim is to attempt to have at least one Legendary Card at Max Level.

Getting involved with Survival Mode should improve the SPS earnings. I picked the XI Expert Bracket as it allow the highest level of flexibility. I appreciate the new improvements made after the hiatus. There are many things to explore in Splinterlands for a newcomer joining today compared to the simple game I had in 2018.
Instead of the regular personal comments and analysis, I decided to share someone else's opinion to end the report. @khaleelkazi has built far more things in cryptosphere than I have while being around the same age bracket. He has been all in on building on blockchain. He knows what he is talking about.

I always enjoy looking over the report cards of other battlemages to see how they are enjoying the game. It is so interesting how everyone plays at different levels with different motives. I can only imagine what it was like back in 2018 when Splinterlands was selling alpha packs.
I'm not active on Discord. I keep my online activities mainly on HIVE. Although I have been playing the game since the beginning, I am only a mid sized player. It was very bare bones, but I knew the project had a good future. Card games are one of the best niches to build on blockchain. It was easy to start with a bare bones game and keep building while keeping costs low. Imagine lasting this many bear markets with an FPS game or hero shooter. @splinterlands can manage to improve the game and operate it continuously with very little funding. This means we have a long runway to outlast other projects and find a way to onboard more users.
Card games are the only types of games I prefer to play. Never been much of a shooter or Warcraft kinda guy. I might make an exception for an H2H fighter like Tekken or a sports game like FIFA, but I prefer the strategy of card games the most. I've played Magic the Gathering since its unlimited set in 1993!
