La Vita é Bella
Today wasn't too shabby...
We got up before sunrise
In the morning, whilst Clare was out working, I spent quite a bit of time watering the garden...

It felt great to see the grapevines, pomegrenate, olives, figs and walnuts

Later, I walked into town and enjoyed a caffé crema in the main piazza

And them, at home, we had a deliciosa 'pasta alla Clare', for lunch

After lunch, we were blessed with the first serious rain ( and hail! ) in months

And kaasboterhammen with chutney and pomodorini were a pretty good dinner.

Now I could have talked about the frustrating time spent to get my crypto payment app working ( to no avail ) or about having to mop a flooding room in our old kitchen ( Clare did most of that ) but why bother?
It was a pretty beautiful day, after all, and the rain is so super welcome.

Oh, the feeling of being cosied in under toasty covers, whilst a chilly wind buffets damp trees around us - sooo yummy!

😘
kaasboterhammen- had to translate!
So pleased it rained. What a relief.
Yeah, even though the heat keeps returning, we at least got a sense of the change of seasons. It makes a difference :^)
