Fun-After the rain

When it rains it definitely pours! Living on a farm has its perks, and my kids find innovative ideas to keep themselves busy and out of our hair.

After about three days of non-stop rain, the water starts pooling and forming a little dam, which becomes a play area for the kids.
For a couple of hours before the water starts evaporating, which takes about two days, its a waterhaven for my little ones!

So my two youngest boys grab a couple of boards and head off into unchartered territory to make their mark. It certainly keeps them occupied for hours, and gives me a nice relaxing break. Also i dont have to worry about them drowning, as the water is only knee deep. :-)

Needless to say, it was energy well spent! :-)
